Michael has changes his work quite strong in the year 2001, when he changed from veterinary sciences (specialized as radiologist) to the IT field. But being CEO of a small IT company (while studying) this was a well-known field for him.

After a short time at the IT department, he was asked to give a lecture on office products and has since given lectures on different topics at the university (software application, project management software, ERP, business intelligence, modern communication tools) as well as leading and working within different EU projects (5-22 EU project partners). Michael was part of the Microsoft academic advisory council of Microsoft as well as frequent speaker at different international conferences.

In the year 2009 the founding of ECQA, as an association being in charge of 26 industry certificates on management issues, took place, where Michael was elected as president and just currently he was elected for a second three years period. Here his main target is to focus on quality of trainings and process steps within the ECQA as well as spreading the word of ECQA worldwide (currently 60 members in 23 European nations, plus several members from all over the world).


Dr. Mario Allegra

Dr. Mario Allegra is the Responsible of the Palermo Department of the Institute for Educational Technologies (ITD), at the Italian National Research Council (CNR).

Since 1989 he has participated in promoting and carrying out research projects concerning Information and Communication Technologies and their application in education and training contexts. His research activity has concentrated on TEL, Technology Enhanced Learning. In particular, his recent research interests include OER - Open Educational Resources, mobile learning, serious games and entrepreneurial education.

He is in charge of several research projects both national and international and he is author/co-author of more than 100 scientific papers.

Dr. Allegra is member of the Editorial Board of the “International Journal of Technology Enhanced Learning” and of “TD -Tecnologie Didattiche”, the main Italian journal about Educational Technology.

He has been contract professor at the University of Palermo and he is consultant for the Italian Ministry of research for the evaluation of research projects.


Dr. Liviu Goraș

Liviu Goraș received the Diploma Engineer and the PhD degree in Electrical Engineering from the “Gheorghe Asachi” Technical University Iasi, Romania, in 1971 and 1978, respectively.

He was successively Assistant, Lecturer, Associate Professor and, since 1994,  Professor with the Faculty of Electronics, Telecommunications and Information Technology of the “Gheorghe Asachi” Technical University. From September 1994 to May 1995, he was on leave, as a senior Fulbright Scholar, with the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences, University of California at Berkeley . His main research interests include nonlinear circuit and system theory, cellular neural networks and signal processing. He is the main organizer of the International Symposium on Signal, Circuits and Systems, ISSCS, held in Iasi every two years since 1993.

Currently he is also the Director of the Doctoral School – The “Gheorghe Asachi” Technical University of Iasi.

Liviu Goras is member of the Romanian Academy of Technical Sciences. He is Senior IEEE Member and recipient of the IEEE Third Millennium Medal.
